During the summer between Harry's 5th and 6th years in school, Dumbledore begins searching for Horcruxes and finds the ring hidden in the ruins of the house in which Voldemort's mother grew up. The Gaunt (his mother's family) household was located outside the town of Little Hangleton, very near to Voldemort's father's home, the Riddle house, which we first visit at the beginning of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Dumbledore only hints at this in the film, but the book of course goes into much greater detail.

Albus Dumbledore was the head of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series. Lord Voldemort created horcruxes from different objects including a ring. Dumbledore was able to destroy Voldemorts ring by stabbing it with the sword of Gryffindor.
Albus Dumbledore was considered a great wizard and many wanted him to be the Minister for Magic - a job Dumbledore didn't trust himself to have. Instead, he was happy being the headmaster of Hogwarts, a important role in the British Wizarding community.
He put on the ring containing one of the horcurxes. It was cursed and when he acquired it he knew it was cursed but he didn't receive treatment soon enough
No, the snitch carries the resurrection stone inside it.The resurrection stone is one of the three Deathly Hallows and was found hidden inside Marvolo Gaunt's ring - one of Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes which Albus Dumbledore destroyed in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince using the sword of Gryffindor.Albus Dumbledore found the resurrection stone and attempted to use it so he could see his dead relatives, especially his sister as he wanted to know if he was the one who killed her. However, the ring was still a Horcrux when he put it on and it cursed his hand - a curse that should have killed him. Dumbledore then put the ring in the first snitch Harry Potter ever caught (the one he almost swallowed) and charmed it so it would "open at the close" - when Harry was about to die which allowed him to see his parents, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin one last time.

The ring wasn't well hidden, it was just inside the Gaunt's abandoned house. Lord Voldemort just didn't think anybody would be able to find out his secret - or guess where he'd hidden it. Very few people knew his real name, and he didn't consider anybody intelligent enough to connect him to the Gaunt's. Under estimating people, especially Albus Dumbledore, was a big fault of Voldemort's.

Albus Dumbledore wanted to be killed for a first reasons. The first, was that Lord Voldemort had tasked Draco Malfoy with killing him and Dumbledore didn't want Draco's soul to be ruined. Dumbledore also hoped to die the Elder wands last master. If his death was arranged, the wand would not change allegiance. Also, when he put on Marvolo Gaunt's ring he cursed his hand. Severus Snape was able to contain the curse but told him that in a year, he would be dead.
Marvolo Gaunt did, he hid it inside a ring which Voldemort made into a Horcrux. When Dumbledore destroyed the Horcrux he found the ring and hid it inside the first snitch Harry ever caught. Harry dropped it in the Forbidden Forest and never went back for it.
