When did mcfly start?

From wikipedia: "McFly are a British pop rock band who were successfully launched into the music scene in early 2004" It started out in 2003 with Tom who was turned down by Bustedfor Charlie. Tom and Danny started their own band after they both auditioned for the band V. They then got a record deal. A few months later Dougie and Harry were excepted into McFly! To date they have 4 #1 albums and 10 #1 singles! Their debut was in March 2004, but they'd been together since August? 2003 . They've been together officially since July 23th 2003! So it'll be 5 years of McFLY this July 2009.
