In the last few chapers of the seventh book; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The climax is when the plot reaches the most important part. The most notable climax in the Harry Potter series would be the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort.
Voldemort dies, Harry does not.
Harry was accidentally made into Voldemort's Horcrux. This created a connection between Harry's and Voldemort's mind. This caused nightmares which Harry was able to check by using Occlumency.
Harry Potter is the horcrux Voldemort never ment to make. Voldemort made 5, then when he tried to kill Harry when Harry was a baby, a part Voldemort attached to the only living left in the room; Harry Potter. So, yes, Harry Potter is the penultimate (sixth) horcrux. The last one (the seventh) was Nagini.
I'm assuming you're talking about the battle at the Ministry at the end of the Order of the Phoenix. Voldemort takes over Harry's body and talks through Harry. Voldemort can't stay in Harry's body/mind, though, because of Harry's utter goodness. The love and friendship that Harry feels for his friends is actually painful for Voldemort to experience firsthand, so Harry is able to force Voldemort out of his head.
1. READ THE BLOODY BOOK!! 2. when Harry comes back to life, after Neville kills nagini, Harry faces Voldemort again for the final time, this is the penultimate showdown because both harry and voldemort realize that the prophecy is about to come true "....only one will survive, and the other must die....."

This can have a number of different answers. Voldemort attempted to kill Harry when he was one. Harry finally killed him when he was seventeen (almost eighteen). This took sixteen years. Voldemort gained his body back when Harry was fourteen (almost fifteen). This took two years. The final battle took several hours. The showdown between Harry and Voldemort didn't take long and only two spells were cast. It was mainly Harry telling Voldemort what he did wrong and explaining the 'flaw in the plan'.
the final battle between harry and voldemort where harry kills voldemort
Back of Book: Harry is waiting in Privet Drive. The Order of the Phoenix is coming to escort him safely away without Voldemort and his supporters knowing - if they can. But what will Harry do then? How can he fulfil the momentous and seemingly impossible task that Professor Dumbledore has left him? Without giving you any spoilers, its about Harry finding Horcrux's (sp?) And contains the final showdown between Voldemort and Harry.

Harry wins the battle of the Deathly Hallows in the fight between him and Voldemort, and Voldemort is defeated.
Voldemort tried to kill Harry many times, however it didn't exactly work out for him. When Voldemort tried to kill him for the first time he didn't succeed because Lily died to save Harry yet Voldemort did not understand this and still sent the killing curse towards Harry which of course back fired and destroyed Voldemort's body as well as the Potter's house. Voldemort didn't die because he had created six horcruxes which stored parts of his soul in objects important to him - until these were destroyed Voldemort couldn't be killed. Unknown to Voldemort was that when he tried to kill baby Harry and ended up hitting himself his soul split again and one of those bits attached to Harry - the only living thing in the house. That is why Voldemort was never successful at killing Harry any time after that (and because Harry had learned to fight back) had Voldemort hit Harry before then, say in the graveyard in Goblet of Fire, Harry wouldn't have died but the part of Voldemort's soul inside him would have (although Voldemort would most likely have hit him again with the curse after neither of them could explain what had happened). When Harry finally realized all of this (Voldemort was still unaware) he allowed himself to be hit by the killing curse, which didn't kill him but the part of Voldemort's soul inside him. All the other horcruxes were destroyed which meant that when Harry and Voldemort had their final showdown whoever was hit with a killing curse would have died. Had Harry not been quick enough then yes; he would have died.
