When does season 4 of Avatar the Last Air Bender start?

There is no way Avatar the Last Airbender is going to have a fourth season. Aang and his friends are all dead. The creators of the show have made The Legend of Korra and it's about the life of the new avatar,Korra. None of the old characters from Avatar The Last Airbender are in The Legend of Korra, but Katara is still around and so are Aang's son and Toph's daughter. So if your a huge Avatar fan, watching The Legend of Korra should bring back those funny moments you had in the other Avatar show.

There won't be any season four sadly, its been decided by the producers. I may be wrong but that's the talk everywhere. And they are all concentrating on The Last Airbender movie series. So doubt that they will be making a season 4.

There is no season 4 of Avatar the Last Airbender. It ends with Fire. However, starting last year (2012) the somewhat sequel aired called The Legend of Korra. It was originally intended to be a miniseries of only twelve episodes but has been lengthened to fifty-two episodes/four books and will probably not end until 2014 or 2015 at the latest. Korra is the granddaughter of Aang and Katara, and is the proceeding Avatar to Aang (Aang and Katara's child was an airbender).

originally the writer planned on a book 4, that would obviously take a different course from defeating the fire lord, now they have decided not to, and are just making a live action movie.

There is not going to be a season four for Avatar: The Last Airbender. There have been talks about a spin-off, however.
