When does the Artemis Fowl movie come out?

It's estimated to come out in theaters summer 2008.

Like the person said above, it will be at least 2 more years. Colfer finished the script in 2008, and claimed to be waiting for the "Green light". As it seems, two years later, planning is still being made. There is a debate whether the movie be animated or acted out. Also, with Colfer working on other projects (Plugged, Airman movie, and possibly AF book 8), it looks as if two years is unlikely the minimum. I'd say it comes out in 2015 late summer.

this is hopelessly outdated. Eoin has announced the movie, combining books one and two, Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident respectively. It has just gone into production. Odds on next year in late spring or early summer. If you're hoping for tickets, tune in to your local radio station. They're bound to be giveaways.

They are still writing the script and it it constantly being improved and changed so there is no exact date. In fact there is a possibility that the movie may not be made at all.
