If you're using VisualBoyAdvance emulator, then saving through the start menu on the actual game is not necessary and often causes problems. The best thing to do is go into file at the top left corner of the screen, save game, choose a game slot (1-10) and then when you run the emulator, file, open, fire red.GBA (or whatever you named it) then it may automatically load from your last save point or if not, file, load game, choose the save slot where you saved it and you'll be back where you were
To continue playing Smurfs' Village on your computer, you can use an Android emulator like BlueStacks or NoxPlayer. Install the emulator, then download the game from the Google Play Store within the emulator. Once installed, log in with the same Google account you used on your Android device to access your saved progress. Your game should sync, allowing you to pick up where you left off.
If you have vba as your emulator go to options, then to emulator and then change the save type to Flash 128k. Next go back to options and emulator and turn on the real time clock(RTC) That will fix the 1m circuit bard. To save from the start menu, you also have to change the save type to SRAM. To use these new features, you have to restart the game and lose all your saved progress, but without this, you cannot play the postgame. You should also delete any save states that were not properly calibrated in the manner stated above.

Maybe someone was playing it and shut it off when during they saved it or if you are a hacker you might have got a Bad Egg.
(this is for if you have downloaded any games) when you have downloaded any games and put them into a folder you go into the top right corner of your emulator and there is the file button. you press the file button and select open gameboy and you go to the file you saved the game on
Because if you forget to do these things and if your playing a Emulator, your file gets erased. Do these things:Go to options, then go to emulator, then go to save type then click on Flash 128k. Then go to file. And go to save game. Then click on the first one. Then it will work. ! If you still need help, go to Youtube and find "How to fix saved data in Pokemon Emerald". Then it will have more information how to get your game back. If you already started a new game, then your old file can't come back. P.S. It helped me also!

In the KiGB emulator, Game Boy printouts are saved as BMP images. Users can take snapshots of the screen during gameplay, which are then stored in a designated directory. The printouts can be configured in the emulator's settings, allowing for options like resolution and file naming conventions. This feature enables players to capture and share their gaming moments easily.
Ok do...not...freak...out. This is easy. It happened to me before. But i found the solution. The solution is to download another game copy Pokemon Emerald. Then it will go to the beginning. Then when you save, it will work. Hope it helps! P.S. I ment not the same game. the actual saved game. Just do it all right.
