Don Wardell was the Chief Announcer at Radio Luxembourg in the mid-60's.

He won a Grammy Award in 1982 as "best historical producer" for the restoration of all Frank Sinatra's and Tommy Dorsey's recordings (1940/42). He is currently the #1 good music disc jockey in Palm Springs @ KWXY.com (streaming world- wide 12 noon to 6 weekends and 10 am/2.00pm weekdays). He was recently named Palm Springs Gay Pride "Man of the Year" for his work with persons with HIV/AIDS.

Don Wardell began his radio career at the age of twelve in the BBC.'s "Children's Hour" programs, after winning first place in the Birmingham (UK) Drama Festival. He broadcast regularly until joining the Royal Air Force, where he was stationed in Paris narrating training films.

His TV credits include:- "Countdown" (host); "Pop the Question" (host); "Juke Box Jury"; "Thank Your Lucky Stars" & "I've Got a Secret". His stage appearances - "A Midsummer nights Dream"; "An Inspector Calls", "Twelth Night"; "Sleuth" & "Murder at the Vicarage". At RCA Records in the 80's he restored the Elvis Presley Recording Catalog for CD release and was given the keys to the city of Tupelo, Ms. by the Presley Birthplace Foundation. An openely gay man and advocate for GLT rights he lives in Palm Springs, California
