When will Midnight Sun be released?

Midnight sun will be written after a hard decision by Stephenie Meyer after a leak of the books partial draft being released online. She was eventually convinced by her fans to carry on writing Midnight Sun, although she has yet to reveal the publishing date.

Stephenie Meyer has stated that she does intend to continue writing it after people have lost interest in it. She however has not given an exact date and as yet she seems to have no interest in continuing it at the moment.

June 2008 Update: In response to the outrageous number of emails that I have received with questions concerningMidnight Sun: I talked to Stephenie this weekend and she asked me to let everyone know that Midnight Sun is her next project. She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. And, after Breaking Dawn comes out, Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight Sun.

Due to the fact that part of Midnight Sun was leaked out on the internet, Stephanie has put a hold on Midnight Sun. She quotes "if I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn't dovetail too well with the original story." Stephanie Meyer has also said they she will eventually continue working with the book and will be published eventually, but that is in the distance future.

That's a good question. As of now, the answer is unknown. She mentioned in an interview a year ago that she was "nearly finished", but then the subject is never mentioned again. She may just release it as a surprise to us all.

Stephenie Meyer, the awsome author of all the Twilight books and the newest book Host, has just came out with the book Midnight Sun. The book has only been out for a short pierod of time and Breaking Dawn has been out for about a year or maybe more. The movie Breaking Dawn won't be in theaters until December almost two years after it came out. So I think that the Midnight Sun won't be out for another two years or so. But I do think the movie will evantually be out. Just be patient! :)
