Where can tangela be found in Pokemon pearl?

By normal means, you need to trade with PtHGSS.

However, there is a glitch that can get you one.

First, you gotta fly to the Pal Park and save your game. Now insert Fire Red, then Leaf Green, in rapid sucession. This should confuse the Pal Park. Rather than saying "No Pokemon has migrated to the Pal Park." You just get 6 park balls anyway. And due to the glitch, you'll teleport and end up somewhere (perhaps Sandalstraw Town...). Enter a house with a purple roof. This gentleman over here will trade you a Hitmonlee for a Tangela. Since Tyroge doesn't evolve into Hitmonlee until Lv. 20. The lowest leveled Tangela you get is Lv. 20. You can get lower leveled Tangela by breeding, obviously. Voila, but you are stuck in the town until you use fly.

Note: This glitch does not work if you have already migrated 6 Pokemon. You will enter the Pal Park as normal. Oh, and the glitch does NOT work in Platinum. The only way to get a Tangela in Platinum is the Great Marsh, but Platinum's Tangelas are higher leveled than Lv. 20, e.g. Lv. 26 the lowest. Oh, after you catch the migrated Pokemon, you have to start the trick all over again.

Hope that helps, but if the glitch doesn't work, trade with Platinum or HeartGold/SoulSilver. That is the intended way.
