The only place where you can find Abra is the patch of grass north of Cerulean city.
Yes, Jynx's overall stats are a lot better than Abra's.
Nobody trades an abra in Fire Red or Leaf Green. However, there is a person who trades his Mr. Mime for an Abra, and he can be found in a house on Route 2. You'll either need Cut or you'll need to go through the Diglett's Cave.
Keep leveling up and you will find out
Wild Pokemon level 50 and higher can be found at seven island and cerulean cave.
I'm not sure if you can catch kadabra in the wild (in the case of fire red/leaf green) But what you can do is find a wild Abra, put it to sleep, throw a few poke balls (preferably great/ultra balls since they have a higher capture rate) and as an Abra it will e virtually useless in battle since all it knows is teleport. If you have 50+ Pokemon in your pokedex, get the exp share from one of prof. Oak's aides near fuchsia city. If not, put the Abra in the front of your party and switch it out in battle so it can gain experience, and soon evolve into kadabra. Hope this helps ^_^ By the way, there should be a few places in the wild to find Abra. Don't let it teleport away!
level 16
Abra evolves at Level16 into Kadabra. You need to trade it in order for it to evolve into Alakazam.

When you catch it, just leave it in daycare until you can go into one of the big shops that sell TM's, by the elemental punches (ice, lightning, fire) and then teach them to Abra. A level 50 Abra was basically all I needed to beat the Pokemon league in gold, and hoping emerald =)
It Dos Not Tell you in Pokemon Diamond Pearl and Platinum
it evolves into kadabra at lv.16 then into alakazam(trading)
Amaterasu is the highest level Fire Release technique.
The fire pokemons you can find are torkoal, numel (evolves at level 33) slugma (evolves at level 38) vulpix(evolves through fire stone) For more info check bulbapedia.com
