Go to pewter city and go toward the museum but look for the back entrance use cut to get past the tree then go in and talk to the scientist near the orange ball he will give you it this is the old amber.

∙ 10y agoThe only way you can obtain the Old Amber item in Pokemon Soul Silver is to use rock smash in the Ruins of Alf. It won't (unless your one lucky gamer) appear the first few times. To regenerate the rocks leave and come back or inter a cave and come back.
You can get the old amber in Pokemon soul silver in the ruins of alph. You can get it by smashing rocks with rock smash.
