∙ 11y agoYou find the scanner in the abandoned ship on route 108. You need surf to get there, and dive later on! If to go through the ship, beat all the trainers (not required), and get to the end, you can talk to this guy who says that he's working for Captain Stern. He says he needs to find the scanner.
Leave the room, go back down the staircase, go into the door at the bottom, and use dive. Go around the path and come up on the other side. When you enter a room, you will see one or several shiny objects. Remember where they are, and pick them up (some will be garbage, but the useful ones are keys to get into the next room). The final room will contain the scanner.
Go back, and talk to the guy who's working for Stern. He tells you to take the scanner to Stern, and at this point, you can choose a reward.
