Just go on training ect. and the warden will call you and say that he found a new way to play. Go to the safari zone and place items. Baoboa will call you later and tell you he has more items. Hope this helped.

The new Safari Zone is located in Johto, northwest of Cianwood City.
However, access is not automatic - the player must heal the Ampharos in Olivine's lighthouse before they can travel Route 47 and Route 48 to reach the safari.

If he hasn't, you need to talk to him and he will require you to catch a Geodude. Show him the EXACT geodude you caught- and it HAS to be from the safari zone. Next he will ask you to catch a sandslash which also HAS to be from the safari zone.
At some point between all that he'll give you his phone #. Later he'll call you with new options added to the safari sone (Like zone changing.) Eventually e'll call again with the option for items.
* Main point- to place the items, just press A.
Certain items require a certain amount of space to place, (like you cannot place a tree by the edge of the water.) GL with the item placing!

∙ 13y agoYou wait for Balboa to call you and tell you that you can put objects in the Safari Zone. Then after you talk to him you enter the Safari zone and push "A" while looking at a open space with no rocks or grass. then you will be asked if you want to place objects. then pick an object.

∙ 13y agoI'm pretty sure you don't get items for the safari zone, you just have them. You use them by pressing A in an empty area (so no tall grass etc.). A menu will come up where you can select 30 different items to place.
