Where did Disney buy property in Louisiana?

Parish President Mike Grimmer hinted that there would be a Disney Park in Livingston Parish in a news release on March 24, 2008 I have been told that Disney is planning on putting a movie studio and some sort of park somewhere near the Walker, La area. I hope this is true.

Parish President Mike Grimmer did in fact hint at the possibility of a Disney Theme Park in a news release on March 24, 2008, and it is a known fact in the parish now that Disney has purchased over 2000 acres of land in Walker, LA, just outside of Baton Rouge!

However, no news has been released from the Walt Disney Company about the future of this land. It hasn't even been confirmed by them that the land was purchased. It is unlikely that a new theme park will be built here. Disney regularly purchases land for later resale, as an investment opportunity. It is also possible that a warehouse or distribution center could be built in Louisiana, or a Disney Vacation Club property similar to Vero Beach or Hilton Head Island.
