Walt Disney, an American TV and motion-picture producer, founded the Walt Disney Company and is responsible for some of its greatest legacies including Mickey Mouse and Disneyland. He and his brother moved to Hollywood in 1923 to found Disney Brothers' Studio with another employee from their Laugh-o-Grams studio in Kansas City, Missouri, cartoonist Ub Iwerks. This move to Hollywood was the beginning of Walt's illustrious career as a frontrunner of animation.
