Catching an Entei is like catching a Mewtwo but the best way of catching it is to have a high leveled Pokemon that knows Spore and False Swipe such as Smeargle, a lot of Ultra Balls, some PP recovery items such as Leppa Berries (carry some just in case you lose all of your Spore PPs) and some Hyper Potions to keep your Pokemon healthy. to catch entei and raiku they both have the same method of catching. make sure you have plenty ultra balls, and a Pokemon with the attack hypnosis, like Gengar or Haunter and Polywirl, Poliwrath. They have to be really fast so then they can make them fall asleep, then you can throw a poke-ball and you have more of a chance of catching it this way than catching it without it going to sleep. Because they flee... and the move wrap doesn't work either because they know the move Roar.

You can catch a Shiny Entei. The odds of finding one, however, are extremely slim. Shiny Pokemon are hard to find by themselves, even after wandering through the grass for days on end. There is only one Entei, however, and it is almost impossible to be shiny.
