That's a load of crap...

Just go to Lucian of the Elite Four, he has an Alakazam in his team. He's also the final and strongest of the Elite Four, aside from the champion Cynthia of course..

It will register when you fight lucian.

This is how I would do it...

Go WAY up North-East in Cerulean City and run around in the grass and you have about a 50/50 chance of getting an Abra. So once you get it, then level it up to Lv. 16 and it will evolve into a Kadabra. Now, trade with one of your friends, and it will evolve to an Alakazam. Then if they're actually your friend, they will let trade it back to you, do you can have an Alakazam.

I've never traded before, so I don't know. I'm pretty sure this would work though, you need either the wireless connecter, or the cord that hooks two Gameboy Advances together, or Gameboy SP I think it's called.

You can't run around in the wild and catch and Alakazam. You could catch and Abra right outside of Jubilife, or before Veilstone. although, i'd recomend catching one near jubilife (like i did) because you get them at a lower level, and when you catch a Pokemon at a lower level and raise it, it is much stronger. At level 16, your Abra will evolve into an Alakazam, and then you can trade it to one of your friends, and trade it back. Then you'll have an Alakazam. Or if you want, you can do it the easy way and go out can catch a wild Kadabra before Veilstone city, hten trade it to a friend, and trade it back.

Alakazam can not be found wild, but can be seen with the fourth Elite Four member Lucian. To obtain Alakazam, you must accept a Kadabra without an Everstone from the Global Trade Station or trade one to a friend and ask for it back afterwards.

Trade your Kadabra with someone else. I would suggest both having Kadabras and trading but if you really want your own, trade and then trade right back.
All you do is trade Kadabra to another Pokemon game, then trade it back.

You cant find Alakazam any where except in trainer battles. you can trade a Kadabra to an Alakazam, though

Alakazam cannot be found in the wild. You must trade a Kadabra with someone. The Kadabra will evolve after the trade. To get a Kadabra, you must evolve an Abra.
