Where do you find chimchar in Pokemon Platinum?

Chimchars are very rare. It's almost impossible to find one- it's like a 1/ 1, 000, 000 chance. If you do, then you have to tell everyone where you found it. For a little bit easier way, you could start a new game, and choose a chimchar at lake variety. If you don't want to switch your turtwig or piplup, then trade one of your Pokemon for a chimchar with another person. But they probably won't want to!

in order to find a chimchar and the rest of the 3 starter Pokemon you have to go to 3 mountains on the island that the resort is on and you can only get there by beating the e4 (elite 4) and one starter Pokemon will be in one mountain and there are 3 mountains and one starter Pokemon will be in each one ( but i have not gotten that far but i have heard and read about this)

if you have an action replay and the encounter code for a chimchar then anyware you like codejunkies.com can help you with official action replay codes if you havent got and AR then plan B is to take an infernape into the daycare with a ditto and get an egg and failing that an online trade it isn't possible to my knoledge to be able to catch a wild chimchar without a cheat code of some kind.

You find chimchar in route 28 but they will all be like level 4. hope this helps

What do you mean by as a starter Pokemon? I didn't get one in the beginning.
