in Pokemon sapphire the fossils are in the route 111 desert (closest to lavaridge if you intend to fly), it is at the top, right hand corner. be aware that if you get the root fossil, you cant get the claw fossil 2.
you get the Pokemon Lilieep. I got lileep. If you pick the claw one you get anorith. ;D
you can get both Pokemon pearl and diamond Pokemon on the game if you go underground
The root fossil is only on Pokemon soul silver by smashing rocks with rock smash in the ruins of alph.

The fossil Pokemon available in Pokemon Emerald include Anorith, revived from the Claw Fossil, and Lileep, revived from the Root Fossil.
You can turn in your fossil in the Nacrene museum. Speak to the lady on the right. There, the lady will change the fossil to a pokemon!
root fossil is lileep claw fossil is anorith
You make a Pokemon hold a root fossil on another game. Then you migrate or trade that Pokemon to the game that you have the claw fossil.
I have Pokemon Sapphire, but it's the same thing in both games. There are two fossils, one is the root fossil and one is the claw fossil. The root fossil will get you a Lileep (which then evolves into a Cradily at lvl40) and the claw fossil will get you an Anorith (which also evolves at lvl40 to give you an Armaldo). Hope that helps!!
you can get lileep
