In otherworld there were a pair of fighters who were introduced to goku by kaio, he said one of them has been in otherworld for 200years and the other one for 300years, if you look at them closely one of them is wearing the same clothes that fusion characters use(gogeta/gotenks) I think they were who taught fusion technique to goku because it's stated that when they fuse using that technique they will use the clothes from the people who invented it.
