You get it after you beat Whitney, go up to Route 36, just past National Park, and where the "odd tree" is once you've used the squirtbottle on it and defeated it/caught it, go to the right (east) there should be a fat man standing there, talk to him and he will give you HM06.

∙ 12y agofirst of all rock smash is not a tm........secondly after u go to goldenrod and get the badge...talk to the girl in the flower shop...she will give u a squirtlebottle........then go to the route blocked by the strange tree and use the bottle...........sudoowoodo will attack....deal with it.......then go right and talk to the hiker.........u will get HM rocksmash............ :D

When you beat the GYM Leader (You don't have to do this <-) Go West of Violet City,Then North,then West again! You see this guy looking at a Stupid Looking plant right? Talk to him and you finally get the hm (ur welcome)
