After you beat the Final Maze, Marowak gives you a Brown Bow, which raises Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense by 1, and won't be lost on a failed mission. Just like the bow you get at the start.

Any way, the main Pokemon and the partner Pokemon can never evolve, as explained in the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ok,first of all its darkrai,not darkri.and in order to evolve ur starter Pokemon u must graduate,recruit manaphy,beat the marine resort,and recruit palkia.it ticked me off too.i had no idea u had to recruit palkia till i e-mailed a friend.(its also annoying that final maze has 48 floors.grrrrrr.)oh and manaphy not manphy.;) . ------------
What is in final maze?
The usual pokemon, each of them lvl 40-45. Items that you would find in any dungeon, along with three legendaries: Jirachi, Suicune, and Moltres. Jirachi is on floor 23. It has a hard recruit chance. Suicune is on floor 29 with a hard recruit chance. Moltres, on floor 40, has an easy recruit chance. Search the whole floor for these Pokemon. You'll find them roaming around like normal Pokemon. Also, if you are on the floor for too long, and something begins to approach, I advise you to get off the floor before it wipes you Pokemon out.
