I have both games, but I prefer diamond because Unova is to massive and I don't like the pokémon very much (but there you can catch pokémon (from national dex) that you can't catch in diamond, and otherwise). But I like the elite four and you can also fight Cynthia in black. The starters are also cool in both games (in black I chose OSHAWOTT and in diamond TURTWIG).
