Another thing is that Sceptile is one of the fastest Grass-Type Pokemon compared to the other starter Pokemons.I like Charizard the best. But there's not really a "best" out of those three. They're all at their third evolutions, so their stats are all high. It depends on what your team needs. If your team needs a Pokemon to beat Rock-types, then Sceptile or Blastoise would be your best bet. Here's some information for each of these Pokemon.Sceptile: Sceptile is a Grass-type, so it can use many status changing moves such as Poisonpowder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder. It can also learn HP draining+healing moves such as Mega Drain and Leech Life. Using a combination of a status changing move + Roar, Sceptile can be a shuffler. Using a combination of Solarbeam + Sunny Day, Sceptile can also be a Solarbeamer. Sceptile has good speed.Charizard: Charizard has two types, Fire and Flying, making it have more type advantages and disadvantages. With the added Flying-type, it's unaffected by Ground-types, bad against Electric-types, and neutral to Ice-types. Charizard is good to use against a Grass-type, since Grass-types can be quite annoying with their many status changing moves. Charizard is also a good sweeper, and has good speed.Feraligatr: Feraligatr is a Water-type, so it can defeat Ground or Rock-type tanks easily. Feraligatr can also learn Ice attacks, which is essential to beat those tough Dragon-types. Feraligatr is a good sweeper, since it has high attack and good speed.

it depends on which lvl your Pokemon is. A lvl 100 swampert is stronger than a lvl 99 sceptile, but a lvl 100 sceptile is stronger than a lvl 99 swampert. If you want your Pokemon to be stronger than the other, you jut have to train it a few lvls higher. But sometimes a Pokemon has a special move. they can defeat Pokemon of many lvls higer with that. well swampert is water ground and sceptile is grass so if you matched them up to battle each other no crap im going with sceptile 4 times effective to swampert all tho i love swampert blaziken and sceptile but i prefer grass Pokemon its just me.
Best starter Pokemon emerald?
Treeko(Sceptile) is the WORST!! starter in Emerald, because its weak and only learns 1 good move. Torchic(Blaziken) is very fast and strong and good for fighting the Pokemon league, and Mudkip(Swampert) is sorta slow but really strong. Grovyle is really bad. Sceptile is a little faster than faster Blaziken but so much weaker. Sceptile has low Defense, but the foe can't attack at all if Sceptile KO's the foe with 1 Leaf Blade(his only good move but it wont KO with 1). Treecko, Grovyle, and Sceptile have one type(which makes them even worse!), you can have 5 other Pokemon in your party to cover Sceptile's type-disadvantages. Swampert's and Blaziken's dual-types make them vulnerable to more types(which makes them better). you don't get 2 STAB types for Sceptile as you would for Swampert and Blaziken, you need a second STAB type. Overall I like Mudkip, then Torchic and then Treeko but Treeko is definitely the worst
