There were a couple. I think one was alnwick castle, mainly the scenes within the castle but the extirior, for example a small clearing in the grounds that leads into the castle is a place you can see if you visit alnwick castle in north east england. Banburugh castle could be one too. Not quite sure. I apoligize if that did not help. :)

∙ 11y agoHogwarts has been filmed at many different places. Many of the interiors are sets at Leavesden Studios. Location shooting has been done at various castles and cathedrals throughout the U.K. When you see the whole of Hogwarts from a distance, it's either a model or CGI.
