The best starter for fire red would be the same as in leafgreen, Squirtle. He can learn Ice Beam, which Venusaur is vulnerable to, and hydro pump for charizard. I chose Venusaur and beat the Pokemon League. My friend who got Blastoise is stuck on the Pokemon League. I think charizard is probally the 2nd best starter and vensaur is the weakest.
UH UH BUB!!! lol im sry, but i wood say charizard. plz just trust me on dis- if hes on lv 85 at the elite four, FLAMETHROWER CAN TAKE BLASTOISE DOWN!!!! im not kidding! ive played firered OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER and have never failed in the elite four with charizard. plus u should bring some more strong Pokemon AROUND that lvl to win for SURE.
NO WAY bulbasaur is the best cause he can level up the quickest. Plus he is amazing against the first 2 gyms and can level up insanely fast there
You guys are idiots, pick charmander.
first two gyms might be hard, but after that its amazingly easy.
i think any could be the best because they will all have different stats
but i picked turtwig i evolved it into grotle then torterra he knew
leaf storm 140 attack,
solarbeam 120 attack,
earthquake 100 attack,
frenzy plant 150 attack. (must recharge)
piplup evolves into prinplup then empoleon
chimchar evolves into monferno then infernape(much faster) and chimchar can beat the first two gyms alone once evolved
it depends on what moves they can learn go onto www.seribii.net and go onto dppt pokedex it says all the moves the Pokemon can learn all the sprites everything you need to know about the Pokemon

Actually they are all great, but I like Turtwig and Piplup more than Chimchar, considering almost every move that Chimchar learns is Fighting and Fire type. Which makes it bad, because my Infernape ended up having 2 Fighting type moves and 2 Fire type moves, but I cancelled 1 Fire type move out with Rock Climb, which is also quite strong, and it can confuse the opponent.
Turtwig is great at defending and attacking, but when it fights with a fast Pokemon, it'll be dead by then. But its extra Ground type when it evolves into Torterra will defeat Poison type Pokemon with just 1 Earthquake, which I like.
Piplup is great at defending, but its speed and attack are not that good. But its all quite balanced, though. The best attack it can learn is Brine! You can think that it is quite weird for me to like Brine, well, its because Brine will do double the damage when the opponent's HP has only half or less left. Brine's will normally do only 60 damage each time it hits, but if it gets doubled, it'll do 120 damage, cool!
Okay, enough with Brine, so that's all I have, pick your choice.
Oh if you want to choose Chimchar.
Chimchar has high speed and great attack, but its defense isn't that good. And you must really get another great Pokemon, because Chimchar really, learns a lot of Fighting and Fire moves, other than different types. So it isn't really great if you want to complete the game with just one Pokemon.
well I've played alot of Pokemon games and the gyms are set up the same so i'd have to go with the grass type because like in fire red and leaf green it has an advantage over the first 4 gym leaders and has hardly any disadvantages
i think that cyndaquil is the best starter Pokemon because it knows good attacks when it is a typlosion like flamethrower, eruption, fire blast, overheat, lava plume, flare blits, blast burn, and earth power and those are really good attaks but some of them he doesn't learn on it's own like blast burn, over heat, fire blast. but you can get blast burn from the lady in a house in black thorn city, over heat by a TM, and fire blast by a TM
There is no best starter Pokemon for Pokemon gold. They all have advantages and weaknesses. My favorite is totodile, but chikorita and cyndaquil are also powerful. But you can choose any of them.
That depends on what your looking for. Chikorita is a hard Pokemon to raise. However, it has good defense support. I personally do not recommend choosing Chikorita unless you are looking for a challenge. Cyndaquil is a pretty good choice and does well against the first few gyms. It is very swift with its high speed and SP. attack boost. I definitely recommend him to new players. Totodile is an interesting Pokemon to use. It has good defense and attack power and learns some decent moves. Feraligatr makes a pretty awesome fighter and is more versatile than Typhlosion. All of them are good. If you want to know what I picked, I picked Feraligatr.
i believe that the best Pokemon cyndaquil because he is a fire type Pokemon and i have beat the elite four with a lvl 63 cyndaquil only!
In my opinion? Totodile.
no
yeah i think soo
you can't breed your starter pokemon cauz they are like the legandary pokemoni
it never explains what happened to it
pick treeko as a starter because in its final form will beat the champion easy
chikorita it gets pretty tough
Cyndaquil by far
you can't
Starter pokemon, or from a trade.
you must trade with a freind that has a starter pokemon that you dont have.
You get it from Professor Elms Lab.
No, starter Pokemon are exclusives to every game. They can generally not be caught in the wild. You can't trade between Silver and Fire Red because they are not compatible.
To get a starter from him you have to beat red at mt silver.
Pokemon crystal,Pokemon gold, & Pokemon silver..VERONICA
Yes
Those Pokemon are starter Pokemon in silver and gold, but those are color games.
1. Charmander 2. Squirtle 3. Bulbasaur Hope I helped! :)
