Not exactly. Kaufman was director of the original stage production of Guys and Dolls, for which Burrows wrote the libretto. Burrows was a generation younger and had a more current sense of humor, which was exactly the kind of collaborator Kaufman liked, but somehow they never wrote a play or screenplay together.
