Actually, I thought that you needed a old rod. It appears on the big lake in Mt. Coronet. It only appears on 4 spots.
actually, you can use any rod. i thought the old rod was best cuz you could only get magikarp (and feebas if on the right tile), but then i kept getting that, "Not even a nibble..." message. maybe the super rod will work best. but yeah, it only appears on 4 tiles and they are randomized each day.
