Famous actors... by heart I can list two, but thinking harder I can find more. There is Rodrigo Santoro that was on "Charlies Angels 2" and also in the third season of "Lost" as Paolo (a Brazilian cheff that used to live in Australia and ran away with his boss diamonds with the help of his boss wife);

And a girl I don't remember the name now, but she was on "I am Legend", with Will Smith. She's the woman that goes to New York with her son, to find Will Smith.

And there are many football players (these ones I'm sure I don't need to list, everybody knows)

Chico Buarque de Hollanda [b. June 19, 1944] and Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim [January 25, 1927 - December 8, 1994]. Both singer-songrwriters popularized bossa nova, a distinctive style of Brazilian music.

Chico Buarque is the son of Sérgio Buarque de Holanda [July 11, 1902 - April 24, 1982], a world renowned writer, journalist and historian from Brazil. One of Chico's most famous songs is 'Cálice' ['Chalice']. It memorializes his friend Stuart Angel Jones [January 11, 1946 - May 14, 1971], who was hideously tortured and killed by officers of the Brazilian military Dictatorship.

One of Antônio Jobim's most famous songs is 'Garota de Ipanema' ['Girl from Ipanema'].
