David Noel Smith came into this world on December 29, 1944 to Harold A. Smith and Violet M. Scheehean. He died on September 14, 2013.

David served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967. He was dedicated to his country and served proudly. He was also renowned for cooking the best whole pig. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

David married Teresa A. Telck on August 8, 1970. They have been married for 43 years and have had many adventures together. They will attest though that their greatest adventure has been their three children Rhea Ann Manning, Christopher Barron Smith and Casey Ryan Smith. All three children took the amazing example of their parents and married the loves of their lives. The family now includes Donald Alan Manning (Rhea's husband), Angela J. Smith (Chris's wife) and Kimberly Mary Smith (Casey's wife). Dave and Teresa enjoy their four beautiful grandchildren Dakota Greggory , Dalton Chandler, Kaleigh Noel Manning born to Rhea and Alan, and Waylon Carter Smith born to Casey and Kim.

He was a husband, father, friend, salesman, but the reason he was on this earth was to create. He was truly in every aspect of the word an artist. David was a highly dimensional man. He thought about every creation intensely from conception to completion. He devoted his life to his family and his craft and immersed himself whole heartedly into both.

Anyone who was lucky enough to have known Dave knows how greatly he impacted everyone he met. His enigmatic personality engulfed you completely and brought you into his visionary world. He is greatly loved and missed by many. His artwork consisted of drawings and etchings of wildlife and knives.
