Joseph Briggen was a serial killer born in the late nineteenth century. Most notably, he was the farmer of a failing estate who had the most successful hog sales in the area. He told everyone there was a special feed in recipe which he refused to divulge. He would travel to the San Fransisco area and pick up homeless men and offer them a job on his farm with food and lodging. After several weeks when the men would complain about not actually getting paid real money he killed them and fed them to his pigs. He continued to collect more workers and slay them until he became sloppy, leaving two severed fingers in the room in which a new tenant had been brought to stay. The tenant sneaked out at night and informed the police. There were just over a dozen different skeletons found on his estate, some even in the sty pen itself, but the estimated numbers that Briggen killed are much higher.
