Morgan Freeman is an iconic African-American character actor (born June 1, 1937) who has appeared in dozens of high-profile roles in a wide range of films over the past 40 years. He has been nominated for five Academy Awards, winning one as Best Supporting Actor in 2006 for "Million Dollar Baby."
