Mortimer is Mickey Mouse's second enemy. his goal was to try to get Minnie to go on a date with him and he even wanted to win over Mickey (Just like Pete does). but however, just like Pete, Mickey actually always wins over Mortimer.
Fun Trivia: Walt Disney (who created Mickey) was originaly supposed to name Mickey Mouse "Mortimer", but because her wife didn't find the name any good, she suggested him to change it to "Mickey" instead.
