Christopher Lee-Power is a British Actor and Broadcaster born in Wirral Merseyside. UK.
Christopher was trained under Jean Marlow and various schools including Richmond Drama School, RADA, and Lee Strasberg Studio, which gave him an opportunity to study many acting techniques - from Stanislavski to Chekhov.
Shakespeare also played a major part in his training and he was encouraged to research and learn from many well established practitioners, such as Cecily Berry, John Barton, Peter Hall and Kristin Linklater.
On leaving drama school, his first professional role was with the touring Shakespeare Company playing Quince and Egeus. Christopher worked also in broadcasting, and has appeared in many TV soaps, and on radio.
Christopher trained in commercial and BBC Radio and has been involved with local BBC station for many years. This has led to other narrating and voice-over opportunities. Christopher has had the opportunity to play a medical student in a film called Fear and other parts followed - a CID officer in Coronation Street, a juror in a courtroom drama, a lawyer for BBC 1 Real Stories and other roles in theatre classics such as Uncle Vanya, Midsummer Night's Dream, Odyssey, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and many more.
Christopher, over the last few years been directed by Neil Caple (Brookside) in The Winters Tale playing Polixines and playing George in an award winning play Remembrance Day by Bev Clark.
He recently was seen in an episode of The Mystery Files on the Geographic Channel, playing a young Hitler soldier and the episode is about Hitler's relationship with his soldiers and what went on in the trenches of the First World War.
He then had the opportunity to play a henchman who allegedly killed Amy Robsart, whose unexplained death at the age of 28 is the greatest unsolved Tudor mystery. The drama-documentary is out on Sky this year.
Says Christopher:
"Ironically, a few months ago I also got a call to audition for Martin Scorsese - to play the part of Hitler himself."
As an actor , an opportunity to play Hitler, or even someone like him, was not easy. "Playing him does not mean that I agree with what he did. The opposite is true for the actor: it's an opportunity to reveal to the audience the evil that went on, and to explore the character's inner life.
"I had to learn German for the Scorsese audition, and study YouTube footage. When I arrived there were five other actors who all looked like Hitler! As an actor you have to do your best, because the profession is very competitive. Sometimes you are right for the part and other times you are not, and in the end I didn't get the part, and did not meet him personally - but it was an experience!"
