Casandra Elizabeth Ventura (stage name: Cassie) was born August 26, 1986 in New London, CT. She is a Filipino-American model, hip hop singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, and music video girl. She graduated from high school in 2004.

Cassie is most well known for her single "Me & U" in 2006. Her self-titled debut album was released August 8, 2006. It has sold over 300,000 copies in the US so far. Her second album is going to be released in 2009 with the help of Sean Diddy Combs who is helping to develop her musical career in the wake of several rocky live performances. There have been two singles from the album released so far, "Official Girl" featuring Lil Wayne and "Must Be Love" featuring Diddy.
