Though Gandalf has all the feelings and desires of a mortal man, he is an immortal being sent to guide the races of the world in opposing Sauron. Though he certainly values friendship, and can be said to love them, being 'in love' would just be a distraction from his mission.
Once the One Ring was destroyed, forever ending Sauron's threat, his mission was technically over. He spent four years with (of all people) Tom Bombadil, before journeying to the Undying Lands, what happened after that was never revealed.
