It's very subjective, depending on who you ask. Of course Black is mostly known as a comedian, Depp a serious actor. But Black can do drama and Depp is a hoot when the script calls for it. As Icobod Crane Depp was so subtle and perfect with a flare for understated comedy. His turn in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was equally hysterical yet still understated, even when he wore the lizzard tail. Not many actors can pull off a scene with a reptilian tail attached to his butt.
