Who is saurian in the Lord of the Rings?

Sauron is The Lord of the Rings, and is the Necromancer that is mentioned in The Hobbit. He is also called the Dark Lord (he was at one time a servant of the original Dark Lord, Melkor/Morgoth) Lord of Mordor, and the Master of the One Ring.

Saruman (formally Saruman the White) is a Wizard, and was the chief of the order meant to oppose Sauron. However, Saruman became corrupt and joined Sauron in his evil quest to dominate Middle-earth in shadow.

Of the major characters, the most "saurian" (which means "lizard-like") is probably Smeagol/Gollum, though some references are made to the dead Smaug who, as a dragon, was indubitably saurian.
