Severus Snape is the potions master at Hogwarts. (Major spoilers by the way). Snape was a childhood friend of Lily, Harry's mother. He dislikes Harry because he reminds Snape of Harry's father, James, who bullied Snape when they were in school. Snape always loved Lily, and he resented her and James for getting married.

∙ 15y agoBecause he was good all along. He's cool, clever, sly, a double-agent and puts Harry down. Also he's a Slytherin and he was the victim when he was younger at home and at school which makes people feel sorry for him.
