Optimus Prime is much better!!

well its hard there both so good and in first Transformers film Sam killed Megatron but in Revenge of The Fallen Optimus Prime lost but at the end Optimus came back really powerful and he smashed half of his face and he killed The Fallen and Megatron ran away so I think Optimus Prime is better!

Megatron is the older of the two because in a G1 episode where the arielbots are trapped back in time Megatron is first seen and Optimus Prime is known as "Orian Pax", he was shot by Megatron and fixed up by Alphatrion and was remodelled and renamed "Optimus Prime"

This is actually an interesting question, Prime as we know him is younger than Megatron, but that's only because before Prime was Prime, he was Orion Pax, Megatron destroyed Orion Pax and he was rebuilt as Optimus Prime.

Megatron is older than Prime, but not older than Orion Pax, who technically is Prime

Well in every film and most of the animated series Prime beats Megatrons. So much so that Megatron sometimes has to be resurrected into Galvatron. In the second new film Prime has adapted a more violent attitude (insults oponents, ripped Grindors face off) rivaling Megatrons cruelty. Ask yourself why would Prime always beat Megatron in the final fight if Megatron was the strongest?

They are both equal in power, in Transformers 1 Megatron had the upper hand because there was people around and that held Optimus back, at the time Megatron had more experience and Optimus didn't have a lot, in Transformers 2 Optimus was beating Megatron in the forest because there weren't many people except Sam, and Megatron was dead for 2 years and when he had a new form and he wasn't comepletely used to it and Megatron hadn't fought for 2 years, Optimus had some experience after Transformers 1 when he destroyed Demolisher
