At the end of Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men, Kitty phased a bullet made of break world material (very difficult for her to phase through) through earth. She was too weak to phase out however, and since has been trapped in the bullet, which is still hurdling through space. Marvel recently announced she would return in March in Uncanny X-Men #522 due to readers demand for her return.

Kitty Pryde. Codename: Shadowcat.
In the X-men movie trilogy, Shadowcat is played by three separate actresses. In the first X-men film, Shadowcat is played by the actress Sumela Kay. In the second, she is played by Katie Stuart. In the third, she is played by Ellen Page.
In different versions, she is 18 or 19. In the original X-Men, I think she is 20 or 21.
In "X-Men Legends," to get past the green lasers, you typically need to use a character with the ability to phase through objects, such as Nightcrawler or Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde). Alternatively, you can look for a nearby control panel or switch that might deactivate the lasers. If neither option is available, try using a character with a ranged attack to destroy any obstacles blocking your path.

It is always hard to say how old a comic book character is. The timeline does not always match up.Kitty was a thirteen-and-a-half year old girl when her powers manifested. She appeared in the comic books in 1980 (Uncanny X-Men #129) so she would be 30 in real-time. However, as I said, the timeline does not always match up.In the X-Men movies, her character was only recently shown/introduced, so she is portrayed as if she is still a teenager, perhaps of high school age.Another answer:20/21Another answer:In older comics, she was a teenager of about 15 or 16, but in modern day, she is in her early 20's.
