He has been killed by many people. His body heales it's self and his soul fights the angel of death to return back to wolverine. If his soul loses then wolverine will remain brain dead. Wolverine is not indestructable his bones are.

Well to be exact we don't know weather Cerebro can actually kill Wolverine, Though he can take physical damage I'm not sure about mental.. but stil an admantium bullet will erase his memory like in X-Men:Wolverine.
