Who created jeet kune do style?

You may be able to say that do to its versatility but that would mean that mma is also in the same category as it since share the techniques of multiple fighting styles to form one. However, the best fighting style for each person depends completely on the abilities of the individual asking the question. But,I'd say that it is JKD or mma seeing that any style can be included into its practices.

When did Bruce Lee get his black belt?

Bruce Lee never got a black belt or its equivalent. Bruce Lee's core martial arts study came from his training in Wing Chun under Hong Kong kung fu master Yip Man (aka Ip Man). The specific amount of time Bruce spent studying under Yip Man is controversial. What we do know is that he didn't complete the Wing Chun system. He was an avid reader, studying books on fencing, boxing, and philosophy. From this, he formulated his art of Jeet Kune Do with Wing Chun at its core. His art (Jeet Kune Do & Wing Chun) is also looked as a process or philosophy of development that has been used as a basis for exploration into creating new methods of fighting. Bruce Lee has been referred to as the father of the sport of MMA. However, Bruce's philosophy had a distinct bias towards realistic self-defense unlike the modern day sport of MMA.

Is Brandon lee as good of a martial artist as Bruce Lee?

One opinion:No. Although Brandon had excellent genes, and the best mentor, he didn't have nearly the experience, or fanaticism that Bruce had as a martial artist.Another opinion:Bruce was an absolute prodigy. One in millions. Just because a prodigy has an offspring, doesn't mean they will be the same. Brandon would be the first to say he wasn't nearly as good as his dad. People today are always using Bruce as the platinum standard by which all others are judged. A popular hypothetical question posed today is, how would Bruce stack up against today's MMA fighters in the UFC. There are many different opinions. So, I will state mine. Bruce would do well! Now, if you put him in the ring where he left off before he passed, he would not do as well as he would if he lived and therefore kept learning. However, his tremendous speed and power could afford him many so called mistakes if you will... So, my point is just because Bruce may not have been up on the latest grappling moves, he was so good at what he did that perhaps a more rounded fighter would not be able to handle him. Then comes the issue of rules. People say it's b.s. that Bruce could beat a professional MMA fighter on the street when there are no rules. The argument is that an MMA fighter could just as easily bite and poke eyes if it were allowable. Well, then the converse may also apply. Bruce could do equally well in the ring. All he would have to do would be to remove those techniques? All I can say is that people who witnessed Bruce first hand, including guys that have been among the best of today, say Bruce was much better than anyone they ever witnessed. So back to the original question....Is Brandon as good as Bruce....SIMPLY put... NOPE.

If Bruce Lee were alive today would he be better than the top MMA fighters?

Bruce Lee dedicated every waking moment to perfecting his art, his craft, and his mind, body, and soul. He was world-renowned for his fighting ability at a time when Martial Arts weren't even that popular. Interviews with ex-world champions (Chuck Norris, to name one) are instrumental in pointing out that Bruce Lee was leagues above everybody else. If Bruce Lee were alive and young today, he would, without a doubt, be considered the best pound-for-pound fighter that had ever lived. He wouldn't be the Michael Jordan of MMA...he would be something else entirely different, something even more transcendant and dominating, and solidify his name as legend all over again.
