Simple. As a child, you should just follow your parents. Nothing makes your parents, specifically your mum, happier than to see her child listen to her in respect. All mums want to see children respect them. If you respect them by listening to what they say, obey their orders, etc., you will have a great chance of getting a better relationship with your mum.
