James A. Foshay was an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party, known for his service in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1933 to 1935. He represented Minnesota's 5th congressional district and was involved in various legislative efforts during the Great Depression. Foshay's career was relatively short-lived, as he was defeated in the 1934 election. After his congressional term, he returned to Minnesota, where he continued his work in local politics and business.
