The book Loch is about a kid named Loch that tries to find out about the monsters in the lake. He finds out that when the monsters attack they are just protecting each other. Even though some people have already died, he still thinks they are nice creatures. Then he finds a little one and feeds it fishes. The scientists search that area and try to find any evidence. So Loch is trying to keep them from killing the monster. After that they end up meeting the monster back in the lake. Then at the end the crew that tries to kill the monsters runs away because the lead scientist gets killed. After that they let the monster back in another lake called Lake Chaplain.
