Why can't i catch moltres?

The proof is it is the Pokemon's "Catch Rate"

The lower the catch rate, more balls miss.

The higher the catch rate, the higher the chance the Pokemon will get caught.

Moltres is hard to catch because it's catch rate is 3.

If you're playing a regular trainer game, then it's for one or more of these reasons:

1. Moltres's hp is not low enough

2. The ball you are using to try to catch it is not strong enough

3. Your game has a glitch (I doubt this one).

Tips: Get a pokemon that can put Moltres to sleep. Also get a pokemon that can use attacks that do little damage, so you can weaken it without making it faint. Status problems are useful for making pokemon easier to catch. Lastly, buy plenty of Ultra Balls. And I mean PLENTY. You'll need them.
