Alexander Graham Bell didn't really steal the idea from Johann Phillipp Reis about the phone. Mr. Reis did not get a patent on his idea, so Alexander Graham Bell decided to improve on Mr. Reis' idea, and apply for the patent.

Would it be possible to send all learners of school going age to school in South Africa if 1 percent of the defence budget is spent on education?

Probably but then you open up kind of a Pandora's box. If we started raiding the defense budget to cure all the ills in the world sooner or later we would run out of money to defend our own school system and all the other things Americans take for granted. The problem is not whether or not they have enough money for the schools. Several American Charities supply millions of dollars for education in under priveledged countries. The problem is that once the money gets there crooked politicians and warlords steall the money for there own use.

Why did British retreat from Boston?

The British retreated from Boston because the patriots (American colonists) wanted the british out of Boston. so George Washington formed a plan and told Henry knox to go to fort ticonderoga with his men and steall the needed artillery and bring it back to Boston. when they came back they got their canons and they lined them up facing the british. the next morning when the british woke up they got scared so they retreated fropm Boston. this was good for the patriots because it was all a fraud and there was no ammunition in any of the canons...... hoped i answered ur question =).......

How do you get revenge on a backstabber?

Steal her alarm clock on a friday, and change the alarm to 1:00 am. that will wake her up and she wont be too happy. OR Steall her alarm clock and change the time so she is late for everything!!!!! She will get so confused - my sis doesnt own an alarm clock :( throw away her mascara and lipstick and say you dont know what happened to them! Say she was drinking! This will get her in heaps of trouble! To make it convincing shuffle around the alcohol bottles and fill some up with water! Don't forget! Make a convincing story! Something like she filled up a water bottle with orange juice and vodka! Say she bribed you with money! The more over exaggerated the better, put on a show! Only do this if you truly hate your sister because she will be in buckets of trouble ^

How do you play with Pokemon cards?

OK, here's the basics. You start out with a deck of 60 cards. In the decks it should be Energy Cards, Trainer Cards, Basic Pokemon and their evolutions. When you start, you lay out a number of cards that are Prize cards, after you beat one of the opponent's Pokemon, you can pick one and when you've taken them all, you have won. The usual number of Prize cards are 4 or 6. Both players take 5 cards from the top of their decks and then puts one of the basic Pokemon as their defending Pokemon. If you don't get a basic Pokemon, shuffle your hand into the deck again, and draw 5 new ones until you you get one. If you get more than one you put them on your bench. Now your ready to start (Flip a coin to see who starts). In one turn, you can place an Energy Card on your defending Pokemon or on one of your benched Pokemon. I'm not sure how many trainer cards you can use in one turn, but its either 1 or as many as you like. You can also evolve one Pokemon. And of course you may attack your opponent once. Then you play until one of the players have taken all their Prize Cards, good luck ;)

Who is the youngest person to climb ben nevis?

No idea if Kieran DS is the youngest person to do the winter assent of Ben Nevis, but aged 7 and 1 month he went up to the summit in February 2009. We took the Mountain Track to the summit ( and helped a lost adult called Hussain in the assent ). Then with junior ice axe in hand, he glissaded over 1000m down Red Burn. saying "Dad, that's the best fun I've had in my life - ever!". The day before he traversed Devil's Ridge on the Mamores (part of the Ring of Steall) and summitted on Sgurr a' Mhaim - his first 4000 foot peak. He's off to play around and on Mont Blanc in August 2009. Aged 6 and 3 months he did 11 of the Welsh 3000 footers in his first long weekend of mountaineering. ---------------------------------------------New entry------------------------------------------------ My 5 year old boy Jay Dickson climbed ben nevis on 15th July 2009, he went up unaided apart from some encouraging words from myself and his mother and his older sister aged 9, very proud of him, it took 9 hours and 20 mins start to finish with a short picnic break at the top. He enjoyed playing in the snow at the top! I wonder if this answers the question. Last year aged four he climbed Goatfell in Arran, Scotland. New Entry My daughter Olivia was just turned 4years old when she marched herself to the summit of Ben Nevis having climbing to the summit of Snowdon the previous day. She achieved this completely unaided but had lots of encouragement from passers by and everyone enjoying the same experience. previously at 3 years old she climbed Scafell pike (Lake District) and has thoroughly enjoyed climbing all three of the highest peaks. New Entry - 25 August 2014 My grandson, Lucas Mazella, climbed Ben Nevis, totally unaided on 25 August 2014, aged 4yrs, 4mths and 21 days. It took him and the Templine team 9hrs in total and they raised over £500 for diabetes 1 charity. Lucas' Mom suffers from tendonitis in her knees and had to abort her mission when her knees collapsed, but Lucas was not to be detered and continued his quest, joining people he barely knew to successfully stand at the top of Ben Nevis.
