This song is an American classic! It was written by the great George M. Cohan.
James Cagney in Yakee Doodle Dandy, for which he won an award.
No, I don't think so. I have the movie and it is Cagney singing the music of Cohan. Joan Leslie is in it too. I found Langford listed on the credits as "singer" so she was in it, but not sure if she sang this part of the movie. Her bio is not specific on this area of her career.
"You're Still a Young Man"- Tower of Power
Neil Sedaka (b.1939) did not write the song "Diana", but he did record the song and for a while there was a battle over who did it best -- Sedaka or Paul Anka who wrote and recorded the song in May 1957.

Being the patriotic man George M. Cohan was, he penned the song "Over There" on a napkin and performed it himself to patrons in attendance at his current play.

Yankee Doodle Dandy
Not sure about that one. One place I've heard it was in the James Cagney movie "Yankee Doodle Dandy", where he played the writer of the song, George M. Cohan
Cohan was the quintessential early 20th century "Song and Dance Man". He was also a prolific song writer, and many of his songs had a sentimental or patriotic theme, very popular at that time.
