I would defer to someone on the inside but as a previous employee I can tell you it was the fact they (ownership and executives) would not or could not accept what it took to effectively adapt to a changing world. A screwed client or employee would ensure others would not make the same mistake they had trusting GSM. They simply could not keep scamming everyone when the truth about how and what they did was reported by so many who had been screwed by the company.
